RF MODULE & COMMUNICATIONS SETTINGS
ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE POWER SETTINGS ARE LEGAL IN THE TERRITORY OF OPERATION.
AS WITH ALL RF SYSTEMS, LINE OF SIGHT BETWEEN TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER IS
ESSENTIAL. ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE ANTENNAS ARE FREE FROM OBSTRUCTIONS.
The system comes with a 2.4 GHz (100mW) module as standard. The RF module is fixed in place using a single locking screw, simply
unscrew this to remove the RF and swap for other RF modules (sold separately) when required. Always check that factory paired modules
are used.

CHANGING SETTINGS

ALWAYS ENSURE FRESH BATTERIES ARE INSTALLED AND NEVER TURN OFF THE AGITO
MASTER CONTROLLER AND/OR CORE WHILST CHANGING RF SETTINGS, DOING SO MAY
REQUIRE THE RF MODULES BEING RETURNED TO A SERVICE CENTRE TO BE RESET.
To change the settings of the AGITO RF modules, navigate to the Top Level Menu by turning on the MASTER Controller or applying a long
press to the MENU button. Scroll down and select SYSTEM MENU, then navigate to the RF COMMS menu, see “” on page 18.
The AGITO system will push settings changes from the MASTER Controller to the CORE, once a setting has been selected and mode
change transmitted, the RF connection will shut down for up to 3 seconds whilst the modules are configured. The RF system will then
automatically restart and check that communication has been re-established. If an error occurs and the MASTER Controller is unable to
connect to the CORE then the modules will revert to the previous setting after 10 seconds.
If the CORE is unable to connect to the MASTER Controller, the main power button will flash slowly.

RF POWER
By default the system is set to 100mW, this is the legal limit in most countries and territories around the world. It is vital that the owner
of the system ensures that all operators know the legal power limits for the area of operation. This menu can then be used to adjust the
Transmission Power of the modules to ensure it remains at or below the legal limit.
»
RF FORWARD ERROR CORRECTION (FEC)
This feature enables a technique for controlling errors in data transmission in noisy communication environments without the need for
multiple retransmissions.
If you are experiencing data-loss or restricted range, ensure that FEC is enabled and that you are using the maximum power that is legal
in your territory of operation.

3RD PARTY RF OPTIONS
Using the Data Pass-through module it is possible to use 3rd Party RF solutions including Silvus TriCaster or DTC NetNode/Solo. Please
contact support for more information.

WIRED CONTROL
AGITO can be controlled via serial RS232 data using the optional Data Pass-through modules. Serial data has a limited range, therefore for
longer cable runs or more complex installations MI recommend LANTRONIX Serial to IP converters which can be purchased separately.
