INTRODUCTION TO: TRAX MODE

TRAX MODE: TURNING ON
With your batteries installed, it is good practice to first turn on your MASTER Controller. Now on the chassis pull up the red Master power
button on the top of the CORE. Select Trax Mode from the Top-level menu, once the desired operation mode has been selected on the
MASTER Controller, the start-up initialisation sequence will begin. The CORE power button will flash if it is unable to connect.

TRAX MODE: START UP CONNECTION & CALIBRATION
The MASTER will enter the connection screen and will ask the user to calibrate the Trax System, once this is selected the Menu will display
the calibration sequence. At the end of this sequence the CORE is fully powered on and ready to go. The MASTER will show the main Trax
Mode Operation screen. See “Trax Mode: Mag-Stop” on page 45.
TRACK CALIBRATION
To correctly calibrate the AGITO Trax system follow these steps
Make sure the MAG-STOP module is correctly fitted to the Trax Drive-End, we normally place this as shown
below at the Front / Left side of the AGITO. Positioned on the far side from the Operator for continuity.
Ensure the AGITO is positioned in the
CENTRE of the Track.
Place the Magnets securely at each end of the Track
Since the MAG-STOP is off-set on the AGITO, it is important to correctly position
the magnets. Ensure magnets are no more than 1cm from the MAG-STOP.
At the Front / Left end of the Track (closest to the MAG-STOP) position the Magnet
25cm from the end of the track. At the Rear / Right end of the Track (furthest from
the MAG-STOP) position the Magnet 1.25m from the end of the track.
Check that all Pedals and E-Stop are correctly connected to the AGITO Hub.
Turn on the AGITO, make sure that the E-Stop is disabled, ie. AGITO Trax is active.
From the Trax Calibration screen, select Calibrate when prompted.
The system will now perform the Calibration process, the AGITO will slowly travel the length of the track
confirming the MAG-Stop’s. Once completed the MASTER will show the calibrated track length.

TRAX MODE: STOPPING DISTANCES
SHOWN STOPPING DISTANCES ARE A RECOMMENDATION ONLY AND MUST BE TESTED PRIOR TO USE.
THE EXACT DISTANCE IS SUBJECT TO VARIATION DUE TO TOTAL PAYLOAD OF THE COMPLETE SYSTEM,
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS (RAIN, DUST, ETC) AND ANY GRADIENT OF THE TRACK.
AGITO OS 5.0 TRAX IS NOT USING “TRACTION CONTROL”
After completing the Trax configuration, please move the magnets to the minimum operational position as shown below. Always test the
stopping distance prior to use.
