MANUAL OPERATION B-47

COOLANT SUPPLY

Operations relating to the coolant are described here.

Supply coolant or make the coolant OFF mode valid, as required.

Close the front door before supplying coolant so that the coolant will not splash out.

Coolant can be supplied regardless of the position of the PANEL key-switch and the selected

mode.

WARNING

Stop the machine and coolant supply before adjusting the direction or

volume of coolant supply. If you attempt these operations while the

machine is operating you could be seriously injured by being entangled in

the revolving parts of the machine or crushed by its moving parts.

Manual mode

Coolant ON

Press the

(ON) switch.

The indicator in the

(ON) switch

is lit and the coolant supply starts.

Coolant OFF

Press the

(OFF) switch while

coolant is being supplied.

The indicator in the

(ON) switch

goes off and the coolant supply stops.

Automatic

mode

Coolant ON/OFF

Coolant supply starts when M08

(coolant ON) command is read.

The indicator in the

(ON) switch

is lit.

Press the

(OFF) switch to stop

the coolant supply during automatic
operation.

The indicator in the

(ON) switch

goes off.

Coolant OFF mode

Press and hold the

(OFF) switch

for one second or more to make the

indicator in the

(ON) switch blink

and coolant OFF mode valid.

The coolant is not supplied

even when M08 command
is read.

Press the

(ON) switch.

The indicator in the switch is lit and the

coolant supply starts.

The indicator in the

(ON) switch remains

blinking.
