Programmable Tailstock Switches (Option)
The programmable tailstock switches on the optional
panel are used for manual tailstock operations such as
placing the tailstock in the joint mode and clamping and
unclamping the tailstock body.
1.
These switches are not operative when the
PANEL key-switch is placed in the
(OFF) position.

Press the HEAD CHANGE switch
(head 1) to select the turret 1, before
pressing the programmable tailstock
switches. The programmable tailstock does
not operate unless the turret 1 is selected.

Function
When this switch is pressed, the tailstock is placed in the joint mode and the
indicator in the switch blinks.
Pressing the switch again causes the indicator to go off and the joint mode is
canceled.
After selecting the joint mode by pressing the switch, move the saddle to the
tailstock joint position by pressing either the positive or negative direction AXIS
DIRECTION switch
(Z).
When the saddle is positioned at the joint position, the indicator in the switch
stops blinking and is lit.
When this switch is pressed after positioning the saddle at the joint position, the
tailstock is unclamped and the joint pin extends from the tailstock so that it is
connected to the saddle.
The indicator in the switch is lit.
When this switch is pressed while the tailstock is connected to the saddle, the
tailstock is clamped and it is disconnected from the saddle.
The indicator in the TSUCLP switch goes off and the indicator in this switch is lit.
