6.2.2 Single Move
The
Single Move
tool provides settings for the
Command
Distance
,
Command Speed
,
Acceleration
,
Deceleration
,
and
Electronic Gearing
for a relative or an
absolute type
of move
. Clicking the Absolute Move button will command
the drive to move the motor to the commanded position as
indicated by the Command Distance setting. Clicking the
Relative CW Move
or
Relative CCW
button will cause the
drive to move the motor the set distance from its current
position. Clicking the
Stop
button will cause an immediate stop
of the move with the given deceleration setting.
If the TSM is connected to a system where position sensors
are also connected, the TSM can be commanded to move
to the sensor in either a CW or CCW direction. It can be
instructed to
Move to Sensor
#1, #2, or #3, and to
Stop
When
there is a Low, High, Rising Edge or Falling Edge. This
move can be accomplished in the CW or CCW
Direction
.
6.2.3 Homing
Using the
Homing
function is a bit more complicated
because it requires that CW and CCW limit sensors and a
Home sensor be available to perform the homing function.
Homing is a complex operation that causes the motor
to move in the direction as defined by the
Command
Distance
and speed defined by the Command Speed and
the
Acceleration
, located under the Single Move area, until
the Home sensor connected to X3 is activated. If during the
move the Limit sensors X1 or X2 are activated, the motor will
reverse direction until the Home sensor is found.
WARNING:
Do not use this function unless the limit and
home sensors are attached.
6.3 Motion Status
The
Motion Status
tool provides the most common information
needed about the moving or position status of the drive. Four
parameters are displayed that will show the
Command Position
,
Actual Position
,
Position Error
and the
Actual Speed
.
Although the drive is being constantly polled for this status
information, the information is not real time as there is a slight
delay in the polling routine.
The
Clear Position
button is provided to clear the position
information and set it to zero. The position can only be cleared when the motor is not moving.
