4.2 Operation with a DMX controller
1) Set the spotlight to the operating mode
“DMX control”: Depending on the number
of DMX channels to be used for controlling the
spotlight, select either the menu item
(3-channel mode) or the menu item
(5-channel mode) .
2) Call up the menu item selected (
or
)
and set the DMX start address . For separate
control of all DMX-controlled units, each unit
must have its own start address . Example: If
the first DMX channel of the spotlight is to
be controlled by the light controller via DMX
address 5, set the start address on the spotlight
to 5 . All other DMX channels of the spotlight
will be automatically assigned to the subse-
quent addresses .
Example:
In the 5-channel mode with start ad-
dress 5, the channels 1 to 5 are assigned to the
addresses 5 to 9 . Address 10 is the next possible
start address available for the following DMX-con-
trolled unit .
It will now be possible to control the spotlight via
the DMX controller as desired .
Note:
The address that has been set for one channel
mode (
or
) will also apply to the other chan-
nel mode .
