Chapter 2: QPix 450 or 460 System Instrument Overview

The QPix 450 Colony Picking System or QPix 460 Colony Picking System is constructed within
a welded steel framework.

Before operating the instrument or performing maintenance operations, make sure you are
familiar with the safety information in this guide. See

Safety Information on page 7

.

The instrument is equipped with an automatically locking door that locks whenever you run a
process. The door prevents UV light from passing through during operation.

The bed of the instrument contains source and destination stacker lanes. See

Setting Up

.

The bed also contains wash baths which clean the pins before and during a process. See
