Error Recovery

Errors ³ 600 are caused by improper input. No recovery is required. The 
error prevented instrument operation. Instrument operation continues 
with the next valid command.
Errors between 100 and 199 permit continued operations. Continued 
operation is possible following acknowledgement and/or correction of 
the error. For example: empty waste container to correct waste full error. 
Errors between 200 and 299 or less than 100 are Fatal Errors: only status 
commands are available. A reset is required for continued operation.

Instrument Response

The host computer should receive a response from a directly connected 
instrument within 1 second. If no response is received within the allowed 
time, the host computer should generate a timing error and can assume 
that the microplate washer is not connected or not functioning properly.
