Starting the PLC/Behaviour of the variables
Since the XC600 may only be operated with a uninterruptible
power supply, it is assured that the XC600 shuts down in a
controlled manner if the voltage fails. The PLC will perform a warm
start after switch on.
Prerequisite:
• The OMS operating mode selector switch must be set to RUN-P
or RUN.
• The XC600 program memory contains an executable active
program.
With a warm start the simplest (function-) variables are initialised.
The variables assigned with RETAIN will be retained. Further
information can be found in the AWB 2700-1437 in the
“Remanent variables“ chapter.
Download of programs
The download of programs is monitored. If the default time limit
for transmission is exceeded (timeout), communication is
interrupted and the error message “Communication error” (#0).
Logging off.” will appear.
This can occur if the programs are very large or the number of
“Persistent” variables and /or “Retain-persistent” variables is
above 5000. The number is independentof the data type.
To eliminate this problems, you can increase the transmission
time, for example to 30000 ms:

Use an editor to open the file “XSoft.ini” in the directory “XSoft
V..” and insert the following instruction:
DownloadWaitTime=30000
Disadvantage: if another error occurs, it will have to wait out this
time before it is displayed.
The entry for the transmission time is made in ms. In this example,
30000 ms is entered.
Memory areas for remanent data
The size of the memory area for remanent data for the individual
XC600 CPUs can be seen in the following table.
Invocation of a web visualisation via the Internet
The web server in the XC600 is started automatically. The user has
to ensure that the web server is invoked:

Enter the following address in the browser:
http:://<IP address of the web server (e.g:192.168.119.300):
8080 (port of the web server)>/Webvisu.htm.
WebVisu.htm is the default HTML page. It includes an <applet>
tag which starts the WebVisu applet. Further information can be
found in the XSoft manual (AWB2780-1528GB) in the “Web
visualisation” chapter.
