System Test

The 

System Test

 function can be used to test the main functions of the device.

NOTE! The function should typically be used to check the current values for a fully 
installed test system, ready to perform tests.

1. Press the 

 button to start the test.

The test checks the following:

Inlet vacuum sensor:

Shows the applied vacuum on the inlet port. With PU1400 or Vacuum Ejector this value 
is typically close to 0 mbar ±6 mbar, (e.g. pump is not started).

In case of connection to External vacuum this pressure will show the applied vacuum 
supply by the source.

Desiccator vacuum sensor:

Shows the pressure in the desiccator before the test is started. This value is typically 
close to 0 mbar ±4 mbar. Otherwise the pressure sensor is malfunctioning or chamber 
is not vented to atmospheric pressure.

Proportional valve opens at:

The proportional valve regulates the vacuum.

This value indicates at which level (%) a vacuum in the chamber starts to build up.

A higher value could indicate a leaking chamber. A hand on the lid can ensure an 
airtight seal.

Inlet sensor max vacuum:

This is how much vacuum the vacuum system is capable to supply.

Desiccator sensor max vacuum:

This shows the vacuum level which the VC1400 system is capable to obtain.

Time to reach max vacuum:

This value shows how long time it takes to reach max. vacuum in desiccator.

Too long time could indicate a defective or misplaced O-ring.

Leak rate:
