CAUTION
l This warning lamp does not indicate the
amount of oil level in the engine. This must
be determined by checking the oil level on
the dipstick, while the engine is switched
off.
l If this lamp illuminates when the engine oil
level is not low, have it inspected.
l If you continue driving with low engine oil
level or with this warning lamp illuminated,
engine seizure may occur.
High coolant temperature
warning lamp - red (Vehicle
equipped with the multi infor-
mation display - Type 2)

This lamp illuminates in red
if the coolant temperature
becomes excessively high.
CAUTION
l If the lamp illuminates during vehicle opera-
tion, it indicates that the engine is possibly
overheating. Continued driving could make
the engine fail. Immediately stop the vehicle
in a safe place and take appropriate action.

8-04.)
NOTE
l The high coolant temperature warning lamp
may illuminate when the vehicle has been
driven at high speeds or on hilly roads. This
illuminating does not necessarily indicate a
problem. It should stop if you keep the en-
gine running for a while or continue driving
the vehicle.
Door ajar warning lamp (Vehi-
cle equipped with the multi in-
formation display - Type 2)

This lamp illuminates when
a door or the tailgate is either
open or not completely
closed.
If the vehicle speed reaches
approximately
8 km/h
(5 mph) with a door or the tailgate open or
incompletely closed, a buzzer sounds 4 times
as a warning.
CAUTION
l Before moving your vehicle, check that the
warning lamp is OFF.
Engine oil level warning (Vehi-
cle equipped with the multi in-
formation display - Type 2)*

This lamp blinks when the
ignition switch or the opera-
tion mode is in ON, if it is
suspected that the engine oil
level has increased exces-
sively.
CAUTION
l If this warning lamp blinks while driving,
stop the vehicle in a safe place, turn off the
engine, and check the engine oil level.

l
Immediately have your vehicle checked by a
MITSUBISHI MOTORS Authorized Serv-
ice Point.
l If this warning lamp illuminates (not blink-
ing), refer to “Diesel particulate filter
(DPF)” on page 6-26.
