Switching of operation mode by external terminal (X16)

When external operation and operation from the operation panel are used together, use of the PU-ex-
ternal operation switching signal (X16) allows switching betwen the PU operation mode and external
operation mode during a stop (during a motor stop, start command off).

When Pr. 79 = any of "0, 6, 7", the operation mode can be switched between the PU operation mode
and external operation mode. (Pr. 79 = "6" switch-over mode can be changed during operation)

For the terminal used for X16 signal input, set "16" to any of Pr. 178 to Pr. 184 "Input terminal function
selection" to assign the function.

The operation mode status changes depending on the setting of Pr. 340 "Communication start-up

mode selection" and the ON/OFF states of the X65 and X66 signals. 
(For details, refer to page 6-216).

The priorities of Pr. 79, Pr. 340 and signals are:

Pr. 79 > X12 > X66 > X65 > X16 > Pr. 340

Changing the terminal assignment using Pr. 178 to Pr. 184 "Input terminal function selection" may
affect the other functions. Please make setting after confirming the function of each terminal.
