9. 4. 1. A and B Dial Tone Detection Parameters

The EuroRoute expects a certain minimum duration of dial tone to occur within a specified
time before attempting to dial. They are specified by the A and B timers in the first set of tables
below.

Note: The ‘A’ parameter sets the minimum period the dial tone must be present.
† Values 0 through 4 apply to all other tone detectors except #1ABCD.

The C and D parameters determine what to do if detection failure or success occur.

Note: The S01 (Drop and Reseize Feature Enable/Disable) Register must be enabled in order
to change routes.
