Chapter 9 Shutdown Software
The shutdown software is a very useful component of the SNMP-SSL card. The shutdown
software runs on servers and connects to a designated SNMP-SSL card. When the
servers start up, SNMP-SSL card scans the status of the UPS and broadcast a shutdown
command to the workstation when a power event is detected. The shutdown software will
broadcast warning messages on the screen of the servers and then perform a graceful
shutdown of the server.
Installing the Shutdown Software in Windows
1. Insert the SNMP-SSL CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Run the “
SD_SNMP-SSL Service_4.20.exe
” program on the CD-ROM.
3. A dialog box will be on the screen, type in the IP address of designated SNMP-SSL
