DISK FORMAT

Use this setting to reformat your hard disk drive when necessary.
Press the Enter key and the FORMAT OK? message will appear on
the display. Press the Enter key one more time to start formatting.
After formatting your hard disk drive, the printer will automatically
reboot and go into the READY mode. DISK FORMAT is only dis-
played when the optional hard disk drive is installed.

TRANSFER LIFE

This setting is used to reset the counter for the image transfer roller.

Note

100% REMAINED performs a countdown function for the service
life of the image transfer unit. The “XX% REMAINED” display
will change to “MAINTENANCE REQ” when the image transfer
unit reaches the end of its service life.

• Be sure to reset the counter after replacing the image transfer roller (see

page 6-11).
