3. Service Mode
This mode is used to check and specify service functions.

3-2. Entering the service mode
<Procedure>
1. With the menu “ENGINE” selected, press the Down key.
2. Press the Prev. key until “ENGINE SERVICE” is displayed.
3. Press both the Select and the Down keys at the same time for at least 2 seconds.
4. With “SERVICE PERSON” displayed, press the Down key.
<Cancelling procedure>
• Press the Cancel key.
3-3. Service mode options
(1) RESTORE FACTORY DEFAULT
• Select this option to restore all settings to their defaults.
Language, Energy Saver, Auto Continue, Chaining Tray, IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DHCP/
BOOTP, All toner max life=1500, All remaining=100%, All counters, CPU counters for service, PSL
admin password.
(2) SERVICE PERSON SRU USAGE
• Select this option to display the remaining service life for the image transfer belt unit and
the drum unit.
(3) RESET CONTROLLER
• Select this option to reset the controller.
(4) RESET COUNTER FUSER UNIT
• Select this option to reset the counter for the fusing unit.
