FLASH CANCEL

The flash will not fire in this mode. Use flash cancel
when flash photography is prohibited, natural light is
desired to illuminate the subject, or the subject is
beyond the flash range. The camera-shake warning
may appear in this mode.

Press the flash-mode button until the flash-
cancel indicator appears on the data panel to
set the flash mode.

• The orange flash lamp may blink slowly as a

camera-shake warning. Camera shake is a slight
blurring of the image caused by slight hand motions
during long exposures. To eliminate camera shake,
use the flash or place the camera on a tripod.
