Front laser should hit the center of the headrest and/or gantry.

11.2 CT Number of Reference Materials

Equipment and Scan:

Quality Control Phantom, Resolution QC scan

Procedure:

1. Using the Resolution QC scan, scroll to the midpoint of the four reference material inserts (Teflon,

LDPE, Acrylic, Air) in the axial view of the reconstructed QC Phantom scan.

2. Draw a circular region entirely within each of the reference material boundaries. Each circular

region should range in size from 65-80 square millimeters.

3. Record the mean value for each material and compare with the acceptable range for each.
