Cleaning and care

Preparing the appliance for
cleaning



Switch the appliance off.



appears in the display and cooling is

switched off. If this is not the case, the
safety lock is on (see "Further settings -
Switching the safety lock on/off").



Disconnect the appliance from the
mains. Switch off at the wall and
withdraw the plug from the socket, or
switch off the mains circuit breaker.



Take any food out of the appliance
and store it in a cool place.



Remove the door shelves and the
bottle shelves from the door.



Take out the freezer drawers and
glass shelves.



Take out all other removable parts for
cleaning.

Dismantling an adjustable shelf

Before cleaning the adjustable shelves,
remove the white protective strip at the
back. Proceed as follows:



Place the shelf on a worktop covered
with a soft material (e.g. a tea towel).



Then pull the protective strip off.



After cleaning the shelf reattach the
protective strip.
