Instructions:
The Power Jumper™ IC is an easy to install power and cable relocation kit for your flat panel wall-mounted
display that provides power and conceals cabling behind the wall for a professional appearance.
Please read through the instructions before beginning the install.
Follow Fig 1. on reverse side, as a
guide when installing.
1. Locate the studs near your display mount and check for any fire blocking.—NOTE: If you find a
horizontal stud, follow local guidelines on passing wiring through fire blocking.
2. Using the 2-gang paper template, select a location behind the display. Use a level to ensure the template is
placed correctly.
3. Trace around the template and cut the traced area out from the wall, creating hole
(A).
4. To create hole
(B), select a location below hole (A), but approximately 18” above the floor—NOTE: Keep
both 2-gang Pocket Plates less than 5’ apart to insure proper connections are made when installing.
5. Attach both the décor receptacle and IEC power inlet to the 2-gang Pocket Plates with mounting
screws, as shown in
Fig 2. on reverse side.
6. Connect the 5’ Jumper to the décor receptacle and complete the interconnect by applying the metal strain
relief bracket and securing it with two mounting screws.
SEE ‘Interconnect Assembly’ on reverse side.
7. Feed the 5’ Jumper through hole
(A) to hole (B).—TIP: When dealing with insulation and other
obstructions in the stud cavity, there are many different fishing tools to aid in this process.
8. Connect the other end of the 5’ Jumper to the IEC Power Inlet and complete the interconnect.
9. Feed the remaining low voltage cables through hole
(A) to hole (B) and push the ends through the
décor brush plates.
10. Once all the cables are fed through the wall, press both 2-gang Pocket Plates into the wall and secure
by tightening the two screws located on each box.
11. Reconnect your display to its wall mount if you disconnected it, and connect all remaining cables.
12. Connect the supplied power cord to the IEC Power Inlet and then connect to a nearby live wall outlet,
or surge protector.
Your Power Jumper IC™ is now ready for use.
