Format

Type

Description

Format the GPS data as degrees by displaying the ° symbol after the number. This format type
should be used for fields containing a number.
The syntax is CCmmFnnM7[Aa], where optional parameter A0 causes leading zeroes to be
dropped and parameter A1 causes leading zeros to be converted to spaces.

Format the GPS data as a date in the format DD/MM/YY
This format

type should be used for fields containing a 6 digit data such as Field 02, “UTC Data

of Position Fix”
The command syntax is CC01FnnM8[A1], where the optional A1 parameter causes the year to
be displayed as 20yy.
For example use the command CC01F02M8 to copy the GPS date to Graphic Field 01

OMMANDS

The GPS data setup commands control the operation of the GPS data capture function. By default, the GPS
port is set to 4800 baud and the GPS data capture is not enabled.

To enable capture of data, use the CSE command. If the GPS is not set for 4800 baud, then use the
CBSnnnn command to set a new baud rate, for example CBS19200 to set the baud rate to 19200.

Disable Graphic Overlay updates on new data received. New data will not display unless
an overlay update command is issued to the control port.

CSCE

Enable the DX-2200 to clear text from Graphic Fields that are configured to receive GPS
data. When the configuration of the DX-2200 is saved, the current text data will also be
saved. This command clears the text on startup so that old data is not displayed on the
overlay.

CSCD

Disable clearing of text fields on startup.

CSRE

Enable update of Graphic Fields (and draw overlay if so enabled) when GPS data is
received that is identical to the previous data. Graphic update performance may be
reduced when this mode is enabled.
