Other faults
If a fault has occurred with the stapling device that you cannot correct by oiling and cleaning,
then you must inform Service.
Do not perform any repairs on the stapling device.
Make sure that all faults on the stapling device have been corrected by Service.
17.3
Fault overview
Potential faults and the necessary corrective measures are listed in the following overview:
Symptom

Stapling device is
losing air.
Attachment screws are loose.
Tighten attachment screws.
A seal is defective.
Inform customer service.
Staples are not
driven in fully.
Operating pressure is too
low.
Increase operating pressure (see page 21).
The driver tip on the stapling
device is worn down.
Inform customer service.
Triggering is not
possible.
Operating pressure is too
low.
Increase the operating pressure of the
compressed air system to the maximum
permissible operating pressure.
Increase the operating pressure at the
stapling device to the maximum
permissible operating pressure.
Then trigger several times.
If triggering works, set to the desired
operating pressure (see page 21).
Moving parts are stuck with
lubricant after a long period
of storage.
Clean the stapling device and apply oil.
Set maximum operating pressure.
Then trigger several times.
If triggering works, set to the desired
operating pressure (see page 21).
Otherwise, inform customer service.
Triggers without
driving a staples
(blank shot).
The pusher spring is
defective.
Inform customer service.
The magazine is dirty.
Clean the magazine.
Incorrect staples loaded in
the magazine.
Empty the magazine.
Fill the magazine with staples (starting on
page 17).
