9.5.5.1 Removing the wheel
Procedure
1 Undo the bolts Fig. 9-6 /2 and remove the cover Fig. 9-6 /3.
2 Undo and remove the six accessible screws Fig. 9-6 /5 (x 6).
3 Fit the lifting equipment Fig. 9-6 /1 to the wheel Fig. 9-6 /6.
4 Lift out the wheel Fig. 9-6 /6 carefully with a crane or forklift.
9.5.5.2 Fitting the wheel
Preparation
1 Clean the support surfaces on the wheel Fig. 9-6 /6 and on the bearing unit Fig. 9-6 /8.
2 Check the O-ring Fig. 9-6 /7 (O-ring fitted and not damaged).
3 Lightly lubricate the support surfaces on the wheel and bearing unit.
Fitting
1 Fit the lifting equipment Fig. 9-6 /1 to the wheel.
2 Lift the wheel carefully with a crane or forklift.
3 Align the wheel with the bearing unit
(i.e. align the positioning screw Fig. 9-6 /9 in the bearing unit Fig. 9-6 /8
with the positioning hole in the wheel).
4 Lower the wheel carefully
(watch out for positioning).
5 Remove the lifting equipment Fig. 9-6 /1.
CAUTION
Working on the wheel.
The main switch must be off when replacing the wheel
and secured with a padlock.
Non-compliance can cause injury to persons and material damage!
