Operation with UV lamp and VIS lamp

NOTICE

Only follow the following steps if the instrument is in operation with
the UV lamp and the VIS lamp.

The lamp settings must be adjusted if the lamp was replaced or if
checking the intensity spectrum after first start-up displays a cut-off 

(see

chapter 4.2, page 39)

.

Adjusting the UV lamp and the lamp settings

Prerequisites

￭

The UV lamp and the VIS lamp are installed.

￭

The instrument is switched on.

￭

The instrument was configured in MagIC Net 

(see 8.102.8004EN Man-

ual MagIC Net 3.3)

.

￭

The UV lamp and the VIS lamp have been burning for 30 minutes.

￭

The flow-through cell is clean.

￭

The flow-through cell is rinsed with ultrapure water.

￭

The flow-through cell is free of air bubbles.

Open the 

Configuration

 program part in MagIC Net.

Double-click on 

947 UV/VIS Detector

 in the device table.

The 

Properties...

 window opens.

On the 

Detector

 tab, click on 

[Properties...]

 to open the detector

settings.

Set the integration duration manually to 20.0 ms. Set the VIS inten-
sity level manually to 7.0. Confirm with 

[Apply]
