CONFIGURING THE ATM CBR DSU

5 . 7. 5 Cold start (Caution!)

Selecting

COLD START

returns the DSUs software configuration to the default settings. All

configuration parameters will be reset to their defaults, and the performance statistics
database and event log will be cleared. The

“[nodename]”

will be erased, but the real-time

clock will not be affected. For security, you will be asked to confirm this request. Pressing

will perform the cold start, pressing any other key will cancel the request.

Note:

This option should only be selected when absolutely necessary, since it may cause

disruption to the network by returning to default settings. The management terminal may
need to be reset to default settings before you can communicate with the DSU after a cold
start.
