Device Connections - Profiling
Connecting a new device or instrument to SKALA is not as easy as plugging it in the first
time. A brand new device will need to be profiled before it can work with SKALA. Essentially,
SKALA needs to learn how to talk to each device.
If you have a device you would like to connect, please contact SKALA Support to see if it is
a device we have previously profiled. If we have, we can help you connect it to your Hub. If it
has not been profiled before, SKALA Support will help start the process of adding a new
device. Profiling can take some time as someone from the SKALA team will need to access
the particular type of device in person and then program it into SKALA.
