1. Identify the door by means of a type identification
2. Start with a general visual inspection
3. Check that all fasteners/fastening points are present/used and are firmly tightened
4. Check the guides for damage and/or wear
5. Check the slats and suspension slings for damage and/or wear and tear
6. Check that the curtain is still properly aligned in the guides (the space between the outer slat
and the inner guide must be equal on the left and right)
7. Check the chain tension, wear and alignment of the chain transmission
8. Check if the pressure roller is still correctly set
9. Check if the limit switches are still correctly set

Top position: bottom of curtain no higher than the clear height

Bottom position: slats stacked up (curtain must not hang from the flame hook profile)

Overclose adjustment: check that the shutter closes properly and that the flame hook
profile connects to the wall hook profile.
10. Check the correct functioning of the safety components
11. Check if the shutter closes in the event of a fire alarm
12. Check if the electrical wiring is secure and check for damage
13. Check the operation and delivery date of the batteries in the control unit; these should be no
more than 2 years old (the ambient temperature may shorten their service life)
14. Check that the bearings, adjusting rings and sprockets are secured
15. Check the time required to electrically close the shutter; record this in the log
16. Check the gravitational closing of the shutter and measure the time; record this in the log
17. Read the cycles/movements in the control box; record them in the log
18. Record all actions taken, comments and replaced items in the log
19. Check that the documents are present with the door
