4.9 

Maintenance and repairs

Maintenance and repair of the vehicle should not be 
made unnecessarily difficult by the vehicle modifica-
tions or accessory equipment. Observe the operating 
instructions.

• 

Maintenance points and major assemblies must be 
easily accessible.

• 

Stowage boxes must be installed with maintenance 
flaps or removable rear panels.

• 

The battery compartment must be sufficiently ven-
tilated, with provision for air to enter and exit.

Check the condition and capacity of batteries and 
service them in accordance with the manufacturer's 
specifications (

Note

Leaving the vehicle parked up for long periods 
of time can lead to battery damage. This can be 
avoided by disconnecting the battery and storing it 
appropriately. See the operator's manual for further 
information.
