General safety precautions for batteries

Risk of short circuit. Do not place any
metal objects on batteries.

Caution:

Do not loosen or disconnect the terminals
when the engine is running and electrical
equipment is switched on.

Environmental protection

Dispose of defective batteries in an envir-
onmentally responsible manner. Observe
legal requirements.

batteries

ing.
(2) - Risk of explosion.
(3) - Observe the operating instructions.
(4) - Risk of acid burns. Battery acid is
corrosive. Always observe the safety in-
structions and safety precautions when
handling batteries or battery acid. Bat-
tery acid must never come into contact
with skin, eyes or clothing. Rinse off all
acid splashes immediately with copious
