Filling the compressed air system from an external source

Com

essed air sy

Towing and Recovery | Actros, Antos (Model 963), Arocs (Model 964)

When you fill the compressed air system via test connec

tion 12 on the EAPU (Electronic Air-Processing Unit), the

compressed air is dried and restricted by the pressure limit-

ing valve.

The EAPU contains the following components:

• Pressure regulator

• Compressed air drier

• Multiple-circuit protection valve

• Pressure limiting valve

• Control unit

Secure vehicle using wheel chocks to prevent it from

rolling away.

Unscrew screw plug

Screw in adapter for test connection.

The adapter for the test connection can be obtained from

any Mercedes-Benz Service Center, see page 68.

Connect external compressed air source and fill the

system.

When you remove the adapter and install the screw

plug

, replace the sealing ring.
