Introduction of the New G-Class, Model Series 463
Suspension systems
The suspension and damping systems are installed
separately from each other and provide excellent off-
road capability as well as nimble and comfortable
handling on the road.
The main features of the suspension include the long
spring travels of the suspension, which provide excel-
lent traction off-road and compensate for uneven
surfaces comfortably.
High-performance gas-filled shock absorbers also
effectively present jerking of the vehicle.
A stabilizer bar, which is adjusted to driving perfor-
mance, payload and weight, reduces the roll angle
typical of cross-country vehicles in corners.
The AMG version also features its own spring and
damper characteristics, with more comfortable
damper and spring tuning than on the predecessor
model.
