11. Lower car and remove jack.
Tighten the five bolts evenly
by going around the wheel and
tightening every other bolt un­
til all the bolts are tig h t. O b­
serve a tig hte nin g torque of
10 m kp/72 Ib-ft.
12. To install the hub cap, slip the
tire valve through one o f the
slots appr. in the middle be­
tween tw o hub cap m ounting
clips and press the hub cap
against the wheel flange at this
point. Then push the tw o
opposite clips against the rim
and seat the hub cap by firm ly
striking it to w ards the valve
w ith the flat o f the hand.
13. Correct tire pressure.
Hint:
Do not use hub caps designed fo r
light alloy disc rims on steel rims.
Tire Pressure
A table (see fuel filler flap or last
page) lists th e tire inflation pres­
sures specified fo r sum m er and
w in te r tires as w ell as fo r the vary­
ing operating conditions.
Tire tem perature and pressure
increase w ith the vehicle speed.
Tire pressure should therefore only
be corrected on cold tires. Correct
tire pressure in hot tires only if
pressure has dropped below the
data listed in the table and the
respective operating conditions are
taken into consideration.
