MEMPHIS FATS/SLIM MOUNTING KIT FOR

TOOLS REQUIRED:
(1) Towel (1) 3/16” Allen wrench (provided)
(1) 14mm wrench (1) 11mm or 7/16 wrench

Always cover the front fender and gas tank with a towel, in case you drop something.
1.
Using a 14mm wrench, attach the two upper bracket assemblies from the kit to the handlebar bolts underneath the
triple tree. The ears should point straight ahead.
Do not tighten the nuts until the entire installation is
complete, and the windshield has been mounted. If the brackets are improperly aligned it will result in
damage to the windshield mounting plates.

Using a 8mm wrench, remove the turn signal bar, re-installing it with the lower bracket assembly from the kit,
behind it. The ears on the lower bracket should be turned back towards the forks.
(See Figure 2)
NOTE:
The two 6mm Allen screws and washers provided with the kit are only for installing a Fats/Slims
windshield in conjunction with a COBRA light bar.

Using the 3/16” Allen wrench, attach the two vertical plates to the upper and lower brackets. The tabs should
point away from the headlight.
4. Using the 3/16” Allen wrench provided in the kit, and an 11mm (or 7/16”) wrench, attach the windshield
to the plates, using the bottom and third bolt up, leaving off the nylon washers.

You can
put the 3/16” wrench on your key ring.
5.
Tighten the 14mm nuts holding the brackets beneath the triple tree.

Care and Cleaning Instructions
To clean your windshield, use only warm water and a mild non-abrasive, dishwashing liquid. Use a soft cloth,
such as a T-shirt or flannel cloth. To protect your windshield, please use Novus #2 to remove minor scratches,
or use a polish like Memphis Shades Shinola which is specially designed for plastic windshields; glass
cleansing agents will cause severe damage to your windshield and will void your warranty.
Never use any glass products, petroleum based chemicals, or cleaning agents with ammonia, bleach or any
Harsh chemicals. This includes Rain-X, Brake fluid, Acetone, and Gasoline.
