Use qualitatively high-grade feed water
Attention
Observe the following when using

feed water for the steam
sterilization:

In case of non-observance, stains or damage on the instruments
can arise and the functional readiness of the steam sterilizer can be
adversely affected.
PLEASE NOTE
→Feed water which you can inexpensively produce with the ion exchanger
MELA
dem
40 or with the revers osmosis process with MELA
dem
47,
satisfies the requirements on the feed water.
Exchange the door gasket
If the door gasket shrinks, is very wavy or shows cracks in the sealing lip,
it is necessary to exchange the door gasket.
The consequence can be leaks which can lead to the leakage of steam.
Safe and successful sterilization may be impacted.
PLEASE NOTE
For inserting the door gasket it is mandatory to observe the instructions
provided with the door gasket spare part with the article no. 12550.
Remove the worn door gasket from the groove.
Insert the new door gasket in accordance with the instructions for
fitting the door gasket.
Maintenance
Attention
■ Maintenance should only be performed by trained customer services
technicians, or stockist technicians. Consult your specialist dealer or
the nearest MELAG customer services point.
■ Maintain the specified servicing intervals.
Malfunctions at the steam sterilizer can occur on continuation of
operation despite the servicing message.
For retention of value and
functional reliability
Regular maintenance is indispensable for the retention of value and the
reliable practice operation of the steam sterilizer.
All function and safety-relevant components and electrical units are
checked during maintenance and replaced where necessary. Maintenance
is carried out according to the maintenance instructions relevant for this
steam sterilizer.
Maintenance intervals
Regularly allow for maintenance every 3000 program cycles or every two
years.
