7 – Installation and setting
Mounting the depth stop
Loosen the handle (7) so that the
hexagonal screw exposes the opening
for the depth stop (Fig. 2). Slide the
depth stop (8) into the opening and
tighten the handle.
Setting the depth stop
• Fit the drill and lock into place.
• Loosen the handle.
• Slide the depth stop to the same
length as the fitted drill. Do this by
pressing it up against a level wall.
• Use the scale on the depth stop to
read off the value in mm, and deduct
the required drilling depth from this
figure.
• Set this value on the depth stop and
tighten the handle.
Changing tools (Fig. 3)
CAUTION! Pull the power plug.
The machine has a quick-action chuck (6)
which enables tools to be changed
without the need of a key. An addition
securing mechanism prevents the chuck
from opening as a result of vibrations.
•
Opening the chuck
Pull back the securing ring (B). Open the
chuck by turning the front ring (A) to the
left and then change the tool.
•
Closing and securing the chuck
Close the chuck by turning the ring (A)
to the right and secure by pushing the
ring (B) forwards.
Selecting the revolutions
In order to ensure materials are
damaged, observe the revolution
recommendations made by the
accessory manufacturer.
Stepless revolution selection
using the adjusting wheel on the
on/off switch (5):
Turn the adjusting wheel in the +
direction as far as it will go to get the
highest number of revolutions.
Turn the adjusting wheel in the –
direction as far as it will go to get the
lowest number of revolutions.
The revolutions can be applied
steplessly by means of pressure on the
on/off button up to the value set on the
wheel.
When using continuous operating with
the on/off switch locked, the machine
operates at the pre-selected revolutions.
Important: When the machine is
operating, the clockwise/anti-
clockwise direction switch may not
be used. As a result, wait until it has
come to a complete standstill. Work
to machine that does not fall under
correct use will lead to the loss of the
warranty claim. The chuck of
clockwise/anti-clockwise machines is
always fixed with a left-handed thread
screw. This is to be loosened through
the front of the chuck itself before
