UNDER BED LIGhTING
The Alterra MAXX comes standard with LED lighting located under the center of the bed deck
on both sides. The LED lighting can be turned on using the hand pendant. The LED lighting can
assist with illuminating the surrounding areas of the bed when transitioning in/out of the bed.
BED DECk ADjUSTMENTS
The Alterra MAXX comes standard with integrated width and length adjustments to allow the
bed to widen from 36” to 39” or 42”, as well as lengthen from 80” to 84” or 88”.
To adjust the width of the bed, compress the two black handles under the bed deck section,
and pull the bed deck section to the desired width.
CAUTION
Prior to putting the bed in use, ensure that each bed deck extension piece is locked in place
and set to the same width in order to ensure for proper mattress support.
CAUTION: Do not make any adjustments while a person is in the bed.
To adjust the length of the bed, remove the mattress retainers from each corner of the bed
end that you desire to lengthen (both head and foot ends can be lengthened). Gently pull
down on the black knob and turn it ¼ turn in either direction so that the knob lock is released.
Repeat step for the other side of the bed end. Pull the bed deck out slightly and turn the black
knobs ¼ turn the opposite direction so that the knob lock will fall into place. Slowly pull the
bed deck out until the knob locks fully engage into place. Re-insert the mattress retainers into
each corner of the bed.
