Near Point of Convergence Test

Purpose: measure the minimum point on which the convergence is

available.

-

Chart: near point chart

-

Auxiliary Lens: None

-

Objective: Measure the value of BREAK and RECOVERY.

-

Operation sequence

1.

Press [ADD VA] button

, and press [NPC] button on

option controller to enter the near point convergence test mode.

2.

Adjust the location of near point chart as the patient can verify

it.

3.

Moving near vision chart or ballpoint pen close to the patient,
find out the point where the end of ballpoint pen or the chart is
divided. And record the distance in ‘BREAK’ item

4.

Vice versa, while pulling near vision chart or ballpoint pen away
from the patient, find out the point where they are united as one.
Record the distance in ‘RECOVERY’ item.
