FUNCTIONS
If your television has both component outputs … and a Progressive
Scan function, select the
P R O G R T V
video mode.
If you select a video mode that your television does not support the
image will not be displayed or will be displayed with errors or a
strong colour cast.
Colour system
Use the
SYSTEM
button to switch between the PAL and NTSC colour sys-
tems and the MULTI-SYSTEM setting (refer to “TV TYPE”, P. 27).
Inserting a disk
Make sure that there is about 15 cm of space in front of the disk compart-
ment so that is can open without hindrance.

Switch the unit on and press
OPEN/CLOSE
.
OPEN
is displayed on the
screen.

Insert a disk into the disk compartment with the title side upwards.
Make sure to place the disk in the middle of the disk holder so that it
does not stick when you close the compartment.

Press the
OPEN/CLOSE
button. The disk compartment closes. Close ap-
pears on the screen, then a few seconds later
Load
.
DVDs usually start playing automatically after a few seconds.
You may need to press
PLAY
or a menu may appear and you need to make
a selection using the navigation keys.

button repeatedly to move from image to image.

back from the same place using

mode.
