E. Installation of Terminal Board Support
Bracket and Relocation of Terminal
Board
(Ref. Figure 202 and Figure 903) When
installing the 17 amp hr ni-cad battery in
369D helicopters S/N 003 - 1149 and 1151 -
1184, terminal board TB1 must be relocated.
Other serial numbers are not affected. To
relocate TB1, a terminal board support
bracket must be mounted on the 369A2515-66
bracket forward of the Sta. 50.50 frame.

(1). Position terminal board support
bracket and mark location for nutplates
on 369A2515-66 support bracket.
(2). Using No. 16 drill, drill 369A2515-66
support bracket at locations marked in
step (1). Deburr and apply primer
(CM318) to holes.
(3). Install two nutplates on 369A2515-66
support bracket at locations drilled in
step (2). using rivets.
(4). Attach terminal board mounting
bracket to 369A2515-66 bracket using
screws and washers.
Use care not to damage wires or
connections when relocating
TB1.
(5). Remove terminal board TB1 (Ref. Sec.
96-00-00) from mount in battery
compartment and retain attaching
hardware. It is not necessary to remove
contacts from TB1.
(6). Rotate bottom of TBl clockwise (for­
ward) 90 degrees. Match mounting
holes on terminal board with holes in
new terminal board mounting bracket.
Attach TBl to mounting bracket with
hardware removed in step (5).
F. Voltage Adjustment
The installed voltage regulator, or generator
control unit, must be adjusted to a higher
voltage setting and the 369D296615-91 decal
must be attached to the voltage regulator
cover. Adjust voltage using the ambient
temperature and voltage settings given in
Section 96-10-00. When adjustment is
completed, affix decal to voltage regulator
cover.
G. Installing Battery Wire Harness
A new battery wire harness must be installed
as part of the 17 amp hr battery installation.
Ensure that external electrical
power source is not attached to
the helicopter before installing the new wire
harness. Do not remove the old wire harness
before installing the new harness. Remove
and replace each lead from connector P108
of the installed harness on a one-for-one
basis. Damage to the battery or helicopter
electrical system could occur if leads of bat­
tery harness are connected to incorrect ter­
minals.
NOTE:
Connector on battery is located on the
aft end of the battery box. When installing
the wire harness, ensure that sufficient wir­
ing is left so mating connectors can be
joined.
(1). Lay new battery harness in battery
compartment adjacent to installed
battery harness.
(2). Locate opposite terminal of wire
connected to pin A of installed connec­
tor P108. Route wire connected to pin A
of new battery harness to same loca­
tion. Cut new wire to suitable length,
attach same type contact as used on old
wire terminal, and replace old wire
with new.
