3.7 Refuse Dumping Procedure
Be sure all non-operator personnel are at
least 20 feet (6 meters) away from all areas
of the Packer.
Serious personal injury or death may occur.
WARNING
N O T E
The grabber assembly will not raise to the
full DUMP position unless the arm assembly
is in the fully RETRACTED position.
1. Start raising the grabber assembly and at the same time,
retract the arm assembly until the container is emptied
(Figure 34).
2. Once the container is emptied, lower the grabber
assembly and then extend the arm assembly.
3. Open the grabber fingers to release the container.
4. If additional containers are present at the same location,
retract the arm assembly slightly, and move the vehicle as
needed to load additional containers.
5. When finished at a site, retract the arm assembly and
raise the grabber into the STOWED position.
6. Travel to next pickup site.
