DTC P1639 (MZI-3.5) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Access the data of the tire size.
z
Is it the same as a equipped tire?

VERIFY GENUINE TIRES ARE
INSTALLED
z
Is genuine tires are equipped?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Change to the genuine tire, then go to the
next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P1635 HAS BEEN
COMPLETED
z
Verify that all disconnected
connectors reconnected.
z
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position (Engine off).
z
Clear DTC from PCM memory
using M-MDS.
z
Start engine and warm up it
completely.
z
Is same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.

No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR
PROCEDURE

Perform "AFTER REPAIR
PRECAUTION".

Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

Vehicle ID block corrupted, that not programmed
DETECTION

This DTC indicates that the VID block is not programmed or the
information within is corrupt.

New PCM

Incorrect PCM
z
Incorrect VID configuration
