DTC P1260 (MZI-3.5) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P115E HAS BEEN
COMPLETED
z
Verify that all disconnected
connectors reconnected.
z
Turn the ignition switch to the ON
position (Engine off).
z
Clear the DTC from the PCM
memory using the M-MDS.
z
Start the engine and run it at idle.
z
Retrieve DTCs using the M-MDS.
z
Is the PENDING CODE for this
DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.

Go to the next step.

DTC P1260
Theft detected, vehicle immobilized
DETECTION
CONDITION
Indicates that the PATS determined a theft condition existed and the engine is
disabled. This DTC is a good indicator to check the PATS for DTCs.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
z
Previous theft condition
z
Anti-theft system failure Theft indicator flashing rapidly or on solid when
the ignition switch is in the ON position.
z
Check the anti-theft system for DTCs.
