Is the throttle body clogged?
then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF
DTC P0506 HAS BEEN
COMPLETED
z
Verify that all disconnected
connectors reconnected.
z
Start the engine.
z
Clear the DTC from the PCM
memory using the M-MDS.
z
Depress brake pedal for
14s or
more

z
Is PENDING CODE for this DTC
present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.

Go to the next step.

This DTC is set when the PCM detects an engine idle speed that is more
than the desired engine speed.

Intake air leak after throttle body

Vacuum leakage

EVAP system malfunction

Throttle body malfunction

PCM malfunction
