5. Verify that the drive belt auto tensioner indicator mark does not exceeds the maximum belt length. (See

If it exceeds the maximum belt length, replace the generator and A/C drive belt.
DRIVE BELT AUTO TENSIONER INSPECTION [MZI-3.5]
1. Remove the engine cover. (See

2. Remove the front wheel and tire (RH). (see
GENERAL PROCEDURES (SUSPENSION).

3. Remove the splash shield (RH).
4. Remove the generator and A/C drive belt. (See

5. Verify that the drive belt auto tensioner moves smoothly in the operational direction.

Replace the drive belt auto tensioner if necessary.
Tightening torque
8.9-12.1 N.m {91-123 kgf.cm, 79-107 in.lbf}
