C h a r g in g /te s tin g is not covered under vehicle warranty and is considered part of norm al d e a le r processing
responsibility. Boost charging is covered within 4 8 hours of vehicle delivery. T h is o p e ra tio n w ill re q u ire c o m p le ­
tio n o f th e B a tte ry C h e c k S h e e t.
R e p la c e m e n t requires D C S M authorization. Additionally, th e B a tte ry C h e c k S h e e t m u s t b e c o m p le te d and
attached to th e repair order. If the check sh eet is not attached to th e repair order, th e claim w ill be denied.
• V e h ic le s in D e a le r In v e n to ry
M a in te n a n c e of vehicles in d e a le r inventory is the responsibility o f the d e a le r and is not co vered under vehicle
w arranty. If a battery problem results from defects in m aterial/w orkm anship, battery re p la c e m e n t is covered under
veh icle w arranty with D C S M authorization. M aintain the battery according to the schedules a n d procedures listed
on page 1 of this bulletin. C o m p le te th e B a tte ry M a in te n a n c e R e c o rd and attach a copy o f th e com pleted record
to th e repair order. If a copy is not attached to the repair order, the claim will be denied.

C h a r g in g /te s tin g is not covered under vehicle warranty unless accom panied by a related re p a ir (i.e. alternator
failure). T h is o p e ra tio n w ill re q u ire c o m p le tio n o f th e B a tte ry C h e c k S h e e t. -
R e p la c e m e n t is covered with D C S M authorization only if the battery has been properly m aintained w hile in inven­
tory. A c o p y o f th e B a tte ry M a in te n a n c e R e c o rd and B a tte ry C h e c k S h e e t must be com pleted and attached to
th e repair order. If copies are not attached to the repair order, th e claim will be denied.

Charging/testing is not covered under th e vehicle warranty unless accom panied by a related repair (Le. alternator
failure). This o peration will require completion o f the Battery C h eck S heet.
R e p la c e m e n t is covered under normal warranty if the battery is judged defective after charging an d diagnosing the
battery according to the procedure in this bulletin.
