Tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) system
DETECTION
CONDITION
Detects that tire such as temporary spare tire with outer diameter of
considerable difference is installed
There is a large fluctuation in steering angle and
acceleration/deceleration speed repeatedly over short intervals.
FAIL-SAFE
FUNCTION
Tire pressure monitoring system warning light illuminates after flashes.
Inhibits the TPMS control.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Diameter of currently installed tires differs from Mazda recommended
tires
There is a large fluctuation in steering angle and
acceleration/deceleration speed repeatedly over short intervals.

Verify that the currently equipped tire
type (size, supplier, and type) conform
to the Mazda recommendation.
