Anti-siphon Valve
•
The anti-siphon valve is a vital fuel system part.
•
If the fuel line ruptures, this valve will prevent the fuel from siphoning from the tank.
•
The valve is located on the fuel tank, where the fuel feed line attaches to the tank.
•
The valve is spring loaded and is opened by fuel pump vacuum.
Fire Suppression System (If Equipped)
•
The fire suppression
system is designed to
extinguish engine com-
partment fires.
•
Before using your boat
for the first time, read
the fire suppression
system’s instruction
and maintenance man-
ual and follow
all warnings.
•
The system will dis-
charge automatically
whenever direct heat
from a fire is detected
in the engine
compartment.
•
The system can be dis-
charged manually by
pulling the T-handle
(labeled "FIRE") at
the helm.
•
The system can only be
discharged once.
•
After the system is dis-
charged it must be
refilled and refurbished before it can be used again.
•
If an engine running problem is diagnosed as fuel starvation, check the anti-siphon valve.
•
If the valve is stuck or clogged, change or replace it while the engine is shut down.
•
NEVER run the engine with the anti-siphon valve removed, except in an emergency.
