4 Normal Operation

R4G/R4GE series

-LS (Remote Switch) ON/OFF (only for R4G series)

The remote switch turns on or off the output.

Between PIN 10 and PIN 21 of the connector TB1 for remote control is left open at factory shipment but

the logic is internally inverted so that the remote switch is in the ON state. (Hereinafter, OUTPUT ON:

close, OUTPUT OFF: open)

When turning off the output with the remote switch, opening the remote switch will turn off the output and

the OUTPUT LED will be blinking.

While the OUTPUT LED is blinking, closing the remote switch will turn on the output and the OUTPUT

LED will be lit.

While the remote switch is open and the OUTPUT LED is blinking, pressing the OUTPUT

switch will turn off the OUTPUT LED. Please note that the output will not be turned on even if

the remote switch is closed at this state.

When the remote switch is opened again, the OUTPUT LED will start blinking and the unit will

be ready to output.

And then, closing the remote switch will turn on the output.

(Turning the output ON with the remote switch is only available in the state of the OUTPUT LED

blinking.)

If the logic is reversed, then the close/open above is reversed.

In the case of ON (enabled) of the power failure protection function:

Turning off the AC input for the unit while the remote switch is open and in the output

preparation state (OUTPUT LED blinking) will activate the power failure protection function.

When the AC input for the unit is turned on again, the output preparation status will be

released and the OUTPUT LED will be unlit.



In order to turn on the output, operate the remote switch like open - close - open so that

the unit is set to the output preparation state (OUTPUT LED blinking). In this condition,

close the remote switch to turn on the output. Note that the unit is not set in the

condition, the output will not turn on even if the remote switch is closed.



In the case of OFF (disabled) of the power failure protection function:

While the remote switch is open and the unit is in the output preparation state (OUTPUT

LED blinking), turning off and on the AC input will start the unit with the output preparation

state (OUTPUT LED blinking) maintained as the power failure protection function has been

disabled.

Close the remote switch to turn on the output.



Note that if the remote switch has been closed when applying the AC input for the unit,

it will start with the output ON.
