Problems, possible causes, and solutions
Using Adobe Premiere or Speed Razor
Adobe Premiere or Speed Razor displays error message “The Matrox
realtime plug-in could not start” when starting
Possible cause Incorrect MAX display properties You may not have selected
Extend
my desktop onto this monitor
for your Matrox MAX card.
Solution Check your MAX display properties You must set your Matrox MAX
display properties to Extend my desktop onto this monitor .

To set your display properties:
1 Right-click the Windows desktop background, then click
Properties >
Settings
.
2 Under
Display
, select your Matrox MAX.
3 Select
Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor
.
4 Click
OK
. Windows will now apply your new desktop settings. When
prompted, click
Yes
to keep the new settings, then
OK
to exit the
Display Properties
dialog box.
¯Note You won’t be able to change the
Colors
and
Screen area
settings on the Matrox MAX monitor.
5 Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
Adobe Premiere or Speed Razor freezes when using DV-1394 device control
Possible cause 1 Non compatible device You may be using a non-compatible DV-1394
device.
Solution Use only compatible DV-1394 devices For an updated list of
compatible DV-1394 devices, see the DigiSuite Customer Support section
of our web site at www.matrox.com/videoweb/support.
Possible cause 2 Wrong time code on DV tapes Your DV tape may not have continuous
time code.
Solution Use only continuous time code tapes To use DV-1394 device
control, your DV tape must contain continuous and consecutive time code.
