Server Settings

Server Settings allows you to configure the parameters required by the application to register with the Server
automatically as well as the User Location. Contact your system administrator to get the following information
before you configure these parameters.

•

Tap

Server Settings

on the

Settings

screen.

Parameter

Description

Device ID

This is a unique identifier of your iPhone which is required to be configured in the
System by your system administrator to register the application.

If you uninstall the application and reinstall again in the same iPhone, the Device ID
will change. In that case, you must inform your system administrator about the new
Device ID. For more information, see

“Starting and Configuring the Application”

.

Internal Server

Tap to configure, when your phone is connected using the

Private

network.

Enter the Internal Server Address as provided to you by your System Administrator.

Internal Port

Tap to configure the port on which HTTP/HTTPS requests from your application will be
served when your phone is connected in the

Private

network. The HTTPS request will

be served only when you enable the flag

Secure Connection with Server.

Enter the value of the Secure SPARSH Port, if the flag

Secure Connection with Server

is enabled.

Enter the value of the SPARSH Port, if the flag

Secure Connection with Server is

disabled.

Default value of this parameter is 80.

External Server

Tap to configure, when your phone is connected using the

Public

network or the

Internet.

Enter the External Server Address as provided to you by your System Administrator.

External Port

Tap to configure the port on which HTTP/ HTTPS requests from your application will
be served when your phone is connected in the

Public

network.

This is the Router port that is forwarded to the SPARSH Port/Secure SPARSH Port.

The HTTPS request will be served only when you enable the flag

Secure Connection

with Server

Enter the value of the Secure SPARSH Port, if the flag

Secure Connection with Server

is enabled.

Enter the value of the SPARSH Port, if the flag

Secure Connection with Server is

disabled.

Default value of this parameter is 80.
